CAFE BAR AND SOCIAL CLUB

Carly Jay Interior Design UK - Crepes & Coffee Project

This client wanted to transform an underutilised building within their sports facility site. Their vision was to transform the neglected space into a vibrant hub of activity.

This area had previously functioned as a seating zone, equipped with a few vending machines and restroom facilities. While the restrooms remained in their original state, the primary space had fallen into disuse, relegated to storage, despite its immense untapped potential. A significant portion of the budget was allocated to architectural adjustments, including the reconfiguration of internal walls and the installation of new bifold doors and windows, and exterior cladding. Fortunately, the client embraced the industrial aesthetic I proposed, leading to the incorporation of raw materials, the introduction of a rustic appeal, the exposure of steel and concrete and infused with a touch of nostalgic neon allure. This project was a fine example of how well considered budget allocation in the right areas allowed for maximum functionality while not compromising on aesthetics. Following our consultation, this project progressed to the Visualisation phase, with a clear trajectory toward the Realisation phase scheduled for 2025, pending funding. To note: through thorough consultation, we identified another previously overlooked, slightly smaller building as an opportunity for a charming gaming centre. This addition will cater to both children and adults, offering entertainment while they wait for their family members to complete their sporting activities. The Level Up Gaming Club is set to begin the visualisation phase.
